Einkorn Biscuits

Perfect einkorn biscuits! Make them for a side with dinner, have them with a slab of butter and jam, or my personal favorite, biscuits and gravy! You really can't go wrong with this recipe!

Equipment

  • 1 Kitchen Aid or Mixer
  • Parchment Paper
  • Sheet Pan
  • Circular Cookie Cutter (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 240g Einkorn Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt (omit if using salted butter)
  • 45g Butter
  • 30g Sour Cream
  • 110g Milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375℉.
  • In your bowl of your standing mixer, combine all ingredients: 240g Einkorn Flour, 1 Tbsp Baking Powder, 1 tsp Salt, 45g Butter, 30g Sour Cream, and 110g Milk on medium-low speed.
  • Once all the ingredients are combined in a large clump, turn off your mixer.
  • Then divide the dough into 5 equal parts.
  • Shape each part into a round flat disc shape, about an inch thick.
  • Place them on your prepared baking sheet and space your biscuits at least 1½ inches apart.
  • Bake for 14-18 minutes.
  • Serve warm!

  • 2 cups Einkorn Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt (omit if using salted butter)
  • 3 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Sour Cream
  • ½ cup Milk
